Updates Irregularly (read as: whenever I have a new idea).

Updates announced on My Tumblr as well

Alicorns

Winged, horned horse-like creatures. They're incredibly fast even on land, indeed one of the legends of how the Glass Desert became so full of glass stone is that two racing Alicorns ran so fast their speed turned to heat and turned the sand to glass. They are considered exceptionally beautiful creatures, sometimes thought to somehow be the offspring of a unicorn and a dragon. Many are those who would try to break an Alicorn to be a riding beast, but they are not horses. It is only respect and care that won the Valenaeshi their bond with Alicorns.

Daemons

Large snake creatures a row of spikes on their heads resembling a crown. They're known for their potent healing 'venom' and apparent calming aura. It's not known why exactly but when near a Daemon the idea to attack it or anything under its protection will simply never occur to even the most ardent of enemies. The Axlypios family's bond with these creatures allows them to pass unharmed under most situations.

Dragons

Huge feathered creatures that breathe streams of whatever element they happen to be affliated with. They resemble great birds, but their necks are of a certain proportionate length and they have long tails as well as a single claw under their wing that they occasionally walk on or use to help them climb or hold to sheer cliff faces. Many of them are bonded to members of the Skiathin family, but some fly free over the lands of Uhldrenn. They never stop growing and they can live for many many centuries.

Horned Cats

Horse sized cat creatures with impressive crowns of horns or antlers which - along with their bones - look like precious stone or metal, they are the favored steeds of the Rey family and their bonded familiars. Because of their status as bonded beasts to the Rey family it is illegal to kill even a wild one in the Sunset Plains. Thankfully for the people of the plains, wild Horned Cats are exceptionally rare as they were hunted to near extinction before the Reys came to power.

Giants

The absolute most massive creatures in all of Uhldrenn, towering even over the Peak of the End of the World. Giants are rare, but may be seen walking through the ocean and occasionally stepping up onto land. They do nothing but walk steadily in one direction, rarely ever straying from their usual paths. There are stories of great heroes felling Giants but it’s generally accepted that none of them are true. Giants are considered a bit like a natural disaster, they stir up the seas and their footsteps shake the earth like earthquakes (to the point that in some places sufficiently strong Earthquakes are just called Giant Walks). It’s difficult to be sure how many Giants there as they all look identical, it’s only known that there’s more than one because on extremely rare occasions two have been sighted in the same area. Notably they are always looking upwards and legends say that those who have seen their faces described them as enraptured. It is impossible to know how true these stories are however as it is no easy feat to view the face of a giant and live.

Spirits

Distinct from ghosts, spirits are beings unique from humans, though frequently created by them. They are like small gods. Some of them may even grow to be true Gods. However most remain far less powerful beings that help or hinder based entirely upon the whims of magic or what a human magician has put into them.
Spirit Types

Star Hounds

Huge wolf creatures with fur and hides that can't be pierced by any known blade or arrow. They are revered and beloved in Tinnaoirt, many families take a young Star Hound into their homes and raise it alongside their children, surprisingly Hounds raised this way frequently become vicious protectors of the family that raised them. The Madadh are known to have the strongest bond with them however. It's said that Macaebh Madadh was was raised by a pack of Star Hounds bonding his family to them forever.

Undead

Ghosts, zombies, ghouls, vampires, revenants, and the priests of the Undead Mother. The once human who are no longer. Remnants of people trapped away from death. Many funerary traditions, especially on the Greater Continent, are influenced by the desire to ward off ghouls or prevent their relatives from rising from the grave. The Undead are by and large repelled by symbols and plants sacred to the Rotten, Paragon of Earth and Death, as it despises these beings that corrupt the natural order and cheat it out of what rightfully should belong to death.
