The Paragons

The All-Devourer

Element: Fire
Domains: Hunger, Cooking, Celebration, Smithing, Wealth, Hearths, Greed, Destruction, Transformation
Endlessly devouring, never satisfied, the All-Devourer favors those who want. It's said that the All-Devourer only refrains from devouring the world because then there would be nothing left to consume. The All-Devourer is the only god that devotees sacrifice to; Bakers and cooks may throw a portion into a fire to ensure the food cooks well and Smiths will sacrifice wood effigies or blood in the hopes that their works will be strong and useful. Sometimes The All-Devourer is blamed for famines.
The All-Devourer's symbol is a flaming skull. It is thought to resemble an emaciated human figure engulfed in fire.

The Mourner

Element: Water, Ice
Domains: Rain, Sailing, Fishing, Rivers, The Sea, Sorrow, Time, Risks, Life
The Widowmaker, source of life and danger, The Mourner grieves for all those who drown, death is an affront to it. Sailors and fishermen rarely leave shore without entreating for the Mourner's protection. Some believe that it was some older form of the Mourner that cursed the Giants to walk forever, but it isn't known for sure.

The Four Faces

Element: Wind
Domains: The Sky, Clouds, Freedom, Joy, Seasons, Directions, Travel, Music, Trickery.
One and yet many, The Four Faces is full of contradictions, the freezing cold of winter and the burning heat of summer, a guide to the lost and the one who leads them astray. The Four Faces is believed to be the god that appears to humans disguised as one the most frequently, often as a young man with some kind of musical instrument and usually to those who are lost. Its reasons for this are unknown as most of the Paragons do not bother with humans directly.
The most common symbol for the Four Faces is a compass. It is thought to resemble a human figure with four faces that are always towards the cardinal directions.

The Rotten

Element: Earth
Domains: Rocks, Metal, Hunting, Nature, Death, Decay, Fertility
Rot and death and rock and bone, The Rotten is revered and feared in the same breath.

The Fury

Element: Lightning
Domains: Power, Weather, War, Fear, Wrath, Innovation, Machines
One of the few gods whose actual appearance is known, The Fury is frequently seen in riding ahead of armies directly into battle often on opposing sides in the same battle. Its rage is swift and devestating and frequent. The only thing it fears or loves is The Undead Mother.
It is a giantic human figure on an equally massive horse both made entirely of lightning.

The Story Singer

Element: Shadow
Domains: Night, Dreams, Beginnings, Endings, The Moon, Stories, Secrets, Lies
While the night can be a time of fear, the people love the Story Singer. The Story Singer gave people imagination, one of the kindest acts of all the gods done only because it wanted to hear more stories. It is a muse, albeit a dangerous one, for the Story Singer is also god of assassins and criminals, the god of villains as much as heroes, because it loves nothing more than a good story and a good story has intrigue of course.
The Story Singer's symbol is a ribbon of stars. It is thought to appear as a human figure with the moon for its head.

The Undead Mother

Element: Blood
Domains: Revenge, Undeath, Curses, Persistence, Devotion, Loyalty, Mothers
Despite its name it is as genderless as any other Paragon, The Undead Mother is called upon by those wronged not for justice but for revenge. Many are those that fear it, even among the gods. It is said that the Undead Mother speaks only in the wails of the bereaved and the curses of the wronged. Even Justice cannot always quell its voice.
