All Religions in Uhldrenn are real, all of the gods exist, all the miracles and magic are real. However the practitioners of said religions frequently don't fully understand the deities they worship often anthropomorphizing the god too much or exaggerating the god's power.

Known Religions In The World of Uhldrenn

The Paragons

The predominate religion of the world, a polytheistic faith that venerates 8 gods each with their own domains connected to the 8 elemental magics of the world. While it is practiced all across the world, it's most prevelent in the northern regions. Practitioners visit or make temporary shrines pray to whichever of the 8 could best solve their problems, the gods themselves are constantly fighting and it's only rarely possible to get them to work together. They are petty and fickle and tend to pick favorites among mortals.

The Verdigris Face

A secret religion of outlaws and criminals that springs from the strange phenomenon of a blue-green face that appears all across the world. The face appears on walls as a stain or grows from rocks or trees as a relief always exactly the same. It can never be truly removed from a surface once it appears, stains can never be washed away while the reliefs will regrow no matter how many times they're removed. The only way to get rid of the face is to fully destroy the thing it appears on. No one quite knows why the face appears though devotees of the faith believe its appearance to be a sign of good luck or a warning of disaster depending entirely on the context. Many faithful carry iterations of the reliefs with them as good luck charms and it's said that if a genuine article cannot be procured even a replica has some power.
